Off the Record

A Strategic Career Navigation for Midcareer Women

For women in law, healthcare, tech, and corporate/nonprofit leadership who need clarity on what’s next and support to survive what’s now.

Because you shouldn’t have to choose between your sanity today and your future tomorrow.

This isn't career coaching.

This is figuring out what you actually want, building a strategic plan to get there, and getting the support you need to navigate your current situation while you make the transition.

Because career transitions take time.
And you shouldn’t have to burn out before you get there.

Does This Sound Familiar?

You’re stuck between staying and leaving, and it’s paralyzing.

You’ve built an impressive career, but something fundamental isn’t working. Maybe it’s the role. Maybe it’s the culture. Maybe it’s just how you’re positioned in it.

You’re not sure if you need a new job or just a new strategy for the one you have.

What you do know:

  • You can’t afford to take a massive pay cut or start over.

  • You don’t know how to translate your expertise into something else.

  • You need work that fits your life, not just your credentials.

  • And you need help now, not just with what’s next, but with surviving today.

You still have to show up to work tomorrow.

You still have to navigate the Sunday scaries, the toxic dynamics, the meetings that drain you. Most career coaches focus only on “what’s next.”

We focus on both the destination and the journey.

What Makes Off the Record Different

  • Dual-Track Support

You get clarity on your future direction and practical strategies for navigating your current situation. You shouldn’t have to suffer through where you are while figuring out where you’re going.

  • No Assumptions About Your Path

Sometimes the answer is pivoting externally. Sometimes it’s repositioning internally. Sometimes it’s staying with better boundaries. We help you figure out what’s right for you.

  • Built for High Achievers Across Industries

Whether you’re in law, healthcare, tech, or nonprofit leadership, we understand the complexity of midcareer transitions, the financial realities, and the credibility concerns that keep you stuck.

  • Strategy + Identity Work

We don’t just build strategy. We rebuild confidence. You’ll leave knowing how to communicate your value, lead with clarity, and make career moves that align with who you are now.

What's Included

  • (45 minutes each, every other week)

Deep career clarity work: What you actually want and why it makes sense. Not just vague possibilities, but a direction grounded in your values, expertise, and financial realities.

  • Reflects who you are now and where you’re going. Positions you for internal moves, external pivots, or thought leadership in your field.

  • Translates your expertise into language that opens doors, whether you’re staying in your industry, pivoting to something adjacent, or exploring new territory.

  • How to set boundaries, manage toxic dynamics, protect your energy, and show up strategically during transition. Because you still have to go to work tomorrow, and you deserve support for the messy middle.

  • Learn how to talk about your experience in ways that highlight transferable value.

  • Not vague possibilities. Actual next steps with clear decision points, timeline, and contingency plans.

  • Get guidance and feedback as you move through the process, not just during scheduled calls. Navigate challenges in real time, not two weeks later.

  • Continue the work with community support, monthly coaching, and accountability when it launches.

How It Works

THIS IS FOR YOU IF:

✓ You’re a midcareer professional (10+ years) in law, healthcare, tech, or nonprofit leadership.

✓ You feel stuck, burned out, or undervalued and aren’t sure whether to stay or go.

✓ You still want to use your expertise. You just don’t want to do this anymore.

✓ You can’t afford to start over. You need a smart, strategic transition.

✓ You need work that fits your life, not just your credentials.

✓ You want help surviving today while building what’s next.

✓ You’re ready to invest in clarity with someone who gets it.

THIS ISN’T FOR YOU IF:

✗ You want a quick fix or magic bullet

✗ You want someone to tell you what to do (vs. help you figure it out)

✗ You’re not willing to do the strategic work between sessions

✗ You need therapy (I’m a strategist, not a mental health professional)

✗ You’re not ready to invest in yourself, financially or emotionally

What Clients Say

  • Moira B.

“I can’t recommend working with Lauren enough. Because of the work we did together, not only did I gain clarity and a sense of purpose in my career, but those changes rippled outward—every aspect of my life has improved. It’s been a truly transformative experience. Without Lauren’s guidance, understanding, and expertise, I would still be living like a shell of myself. Through our work, I was able to identify what really matters to me. And when I veered off track (which happens when you’re struggling!), she gently helped guide me back. I never felt pushed or judged—Lauren met me exactly where I was, always offered truthful feedback, and helped me move forward without ever dictating my path.

In my new role, I feel valued and appreciated in ways I never imagined. My colleagues recognize my contributions, and leadership has praised my work—one leader even told me I “saved the day” during a critical inspection. The environment is inspiring, and I feel energized and excited about what I do. I love my work again. Because of those changes, my entire energy has shifted. My outlook on life—and my place in it—is completely different. I went from being unsure of myself and my direction to someone who is excited about life and confident in whatever I do. Lauren helped me find my own answers, and now I have a renewed sense of purpose and fulfillment in not just my career, but in my entire life. Working with Lauren didn’t just change my career—it helped me step into who I truly am, and I’ll carry that with me for the rest of my life.”

Lauren is an amazing coach and happily made herself available when it worked for my schedule. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to make a change in their career.

“I'm so glad to have Lauren in my corner while I was going through my career transition! One of Lauren's strengths was actively listening to what I was saying, and not saying, to get to the root of what kind of career I would be interested in doing. I appreciated her candor when Lauren would question what I was saying and whether it was becoming actionable steps towards my goals. She helped me spruce up my resume and LinkedIn so that it could better target the roles I am more interested in pursuing. Lauren nudged and guided me towards ideas and tools to help me build my next career path. Definitely enjoyed working with her!”

  • Jill C.

Lauren is incredibly professional and knowledgeable about job searching and resume writing. She assisted me in re-writing my resume and targeting job postings when I relocated. I recommend anyone to use Lauren's career services, especially for career changers and those needing assistance with LinkedIn.

  • Sheri B.

“Juggling multiple roles in my business it's difficult to have any kind of work/life balance. Lauren helped me add some structure to my life by focusing on what was important to me, as well as prioritizing which tasks will get me closer to my goals. Lauren's coaching help shift my perspective from "I don't have time for that" to "Woah, I can get that done!", by helping me organize my schedule and allot time in for self-care. Each session with her left me totally energized! Thanks Lauren!”
